The REAL Master Returns!
…THIS ONE!

Michael Schumacher returns to F1 driving for the new Mercedes F1 Team. Mercedes has confirmed that they have bought Brawn F1 and with Jensen off to McLaren, his seat has been taken by “Schey” with Nico Rosberg in the No2 slot.
This is great news for everyone.
Firstly, Michael is released from the Limbo of “Ferrari Technical Advisor” (where he was banished by Luca de Montezemola after delivering no fewer than 6 Constructors Championships, and 5 Drivers Championships.
Secondly, for the other drivers and Champions…he’s the man they all want to beat. True he’s flawed and he’s not infallible (Alonso and Hakenen both did it), but he’s the guy that they are all measured against.
Finally, for the fans themselves. The Tifosi and F1 fans alike. He’s really going to shake things up so it’s got to be good for the racing and the sport. He’s back to win!
Personally I was astounded when “Shuey” was sacked and replaced by Raikenen. I’ve been a Ferrari fan since I attended my first GP at Brands in 1984 so I am a bit biased, but to see them force the best driver in the sport into the sidelines for the sake of that dull Fin…well I was truly amazed. A massive miscalculation.
Now I’m not saying he’s a Saint. Arrogant he maybe…and a Cheat…? Possibly. But he is definitely the best Driver of his generation. Everyone acknowledges the fact. Commentators, drivers, historians, they all agree. He took personal preparation, technical knowledge and car development to a new level. He involved everyone in the Team from the cleaners to the Technical Director. They were all part of it as far as he was concerned. For those who bothered to look, he was as bigger fan of Ferrari as I was, probably bigger. And they binned him for a playboy Fin who was only quick in a quick car…and if there was a problem, was in the trailer or off the circuit within 5 mins. No Team player there!
So, he has something to prove again. It was all over. No Ferrari drive, trapped in a duff contract, the worlds best was locked out of F1. He must have been fecking livid! So, if anyone is going to beat Ferrari now, it’ll be MS. A German Team with a German engine and co driver, Mercedes will throw absolutely everything at it. The word is that they didn’t develop the 2009 car at Brawn because they were working hard on the 2010 car. Seemed a bit pie in the sky to me at the time, but now it makes sense. No winter testing and Mercedes and MS in the wings…Brawns a clever guy. I wonder how long it will last? Any which way…it should be exciting out there.
I can’t wait!
